Chris Pressley - Head Tennis Professional
Chris has been teaching tennis at Mirasol since September 2003. He brings an extensive playing background and experience to share with his students, and having Chris on the professional staff has been a boost for the programs. Chris’ tennis accomplishments include 18-and-under undefeated No. 1 in Florida, and No. 4 in the nation.
While being two-time tennis team Captain at Duke University, Chris achieved a top twenty year-end ranking for three out of his four years earning him three All-American honors. During his senior year, Chris held a number 3 national collegiate ranking and was given the prestigious Arthur Ashe Sportsmanship and Leadership Award from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Just last year, Chris was recognized by the Atlantic Coast Conference as being one of the Top 50 players to ever compete in the conference. Chris competed four years on the professional circuit and competed in all four Grand Slams. During his four years on tour, Chris achieved an ATP Tour recognized ranking of 336 in the world, and had victories over many top 100 players, including Jan Michael Gambill and Taylor Dent.
Chris brings his enthusiasm and vast knowledge of the game to Mirasol where he teaches private lessons and holds clinics as well as coaches the Mirasol teams.

John "JT" Thatcher
JT coaches the ladies' teams, holds a unique workout clinic on Sundays which include on-court drills, and off-court training, teaches private lessons to all ages, and was the supervisor of the very successful summer kids' camp.
JT was a Top 50 junior player in Texas, and played No. 1 singles and doubles for Lipscomb University. He has over 10 years of country club teaching experience, including Mariner Sands, Manursing Island, and Jupiter Island.
Andi Piski
Andi joined our department in 2009 and has an extensive playing and coaching background. She attended Auburn University where she played all four years. While at Auburn, Andi played in the # 1 position, was team captain, and earned national “All-American” honors for two years. She also played for several years on the Women’s Tennis Professional Circuit competing all around the world.
Since competing, Andi has been a teaching professional for over six years. She brings her engaging attitude, tremendous passion for the game, and vast knowledge of tennis instruction to meet the needs of our members.
Maria Welch
Maria Welch is our Tennis Concierge and, in her role, she will provide a tennis match-making/game arrangement component for members looking for games.
